Religious ads

There seems to be quite a stir about a religious anti-abortion ad airing at a sporting event called the “Super Bowl” (which has nothing to do about bowling, sadly). I don’t mind ads of that kind, even though I disagree with the message. What I do object to is that while polarizing religious ads are allowed to air, inclusive religious ads like the ones produced by the United Church of Christ are rejected:

UCC Ad - God is still speaking (Bouncer)

Now who could object to that?

  1. Hey,

Came to your site through the comment on 'Reading the Bible in 365 Days".

I don't really have a comment thought up yet, but this entry made me want to write something.

Seriously? This ad was too controversial because it was inclusive, while the political hot potato of (anti-)abortion gets the green light?

Is there any real hope for separating religion and state? Or holding 'funded agenda' at bay for the sake of the simplest of moralities?

I'm going to check out more of your site. It's good to see that some open minds are out there, facing the waves...
