Oh, How the Mighty have Fallen!

Pastor Jim West, the big dog of bible blogging, has decided to quit blogging according to Scott. This comes after Jim was engaged in a blog war with John Loftus. Although I don't read Jim's blog anymore (after one too many uncharitable atheist-bashing posts), it's still a bit sad to see him go. Love him or hate him, he's the go-to guy for all things biblioblogging. At least we'll now have a new #1 biblioblog (JL Watts, most likely) but it won't be the same.

Let's just wait and see if Jim's blog will rise from the dead (after three days, for theological effect!). In the meantime, we can always read the 300+ other biblioblogs that aren't #1.

  5. @ JL WATTS

I see the problem. On your blogger profile, on the left is a link to "My Website" -- which works.
    That address is:
    http://thechurchofjesuschrist-wv.blogspot.com/

HOWEVER, under: My Blogs, you have "The Church of Jesus Christ" listed with a DIFFERENT address:
    http://thechurchofjesuschrist-wv.blogspot.com/

THAT, site is blocked and comes up with this message:

"This blog is open to invited readers only"

    You are welcome.

  7. Was Jim's blog really even that interesting? I mean I stopped by a few times, but never found anything to hold my attention. It seemed a bit like Exploring our Matrix, but even less serious and (if it were possible but probably isn't) less insightful (probably about equally uninsightful actually).

  8. The blog itself isn't interesting. It's just that, being the top dog, Jim's blog has been somewhat of a mecca for biblioblog gossip and sundry. Personally, Joel does it better. :)

Oh, and I don't think Jim McGrath deserves such negative comments. He's alright.

  9. Wait? I do biblioblogging better ot gossip? No offense either way :)

And I like McGrath's blog very much, finding it very interesting, always entertaining and often times, though provoking.

  10. In that case, I'd say both. :D
